Supernatural

Okay, so I've gone whole buckets of crazy for Supernatural. They might as well just give this show a section in the Merck Index because I am THAT addicted to it right now.

(the story)

Yes. I walked into the brainwashing with my eyes wide open at the end of last May at MW.

Knock. Knock. Hello. Grab arm. Yank. Slam door. Evil grin of 8 friends sitting reverently before DVD player with TV glistening blue light in the dark. Come look at the pretties. Grrrr. Curse them.

I was perfectly content to assume this was a Blair Witch Project wannabe rip off that was set to only scare me to death. But noooo.

I realized that they had truly succeeded in sucking me in when the very the next week (during the re-air of the episode Dead In The Water) I was making notes (yes, writing actual notes!) on the fact that Dean says "I saw something real bad happen to my mom" when he was little rather than saying "something real bad happened to my mom". Ergo implying he witnessed the big nasty event that befell her, yes? Which then led me to research (actually research!) for several hours the journal the WB network posted supposed from the Winchester father talking about that time, which adds the additional detail of how Dean didn't talk hardly at all when he was little after his mother's death and how he would climb into the crib and wrap his arms around his baby brother, Sam, while he slept to protect him. Or how Sam kept crying for his mother even though she was gone and wouldn't play with his toys.

And the fact that I actually know this stuff now.

Talk about brainwashing. My friends should rent themselves out to the CIA!

And what's the best thing is that it's a fandom truly born of the net. It's like a never ending snack fest of SN. Between each episode there's plenty to go, and see, and read, and read, and read...

Hahahhahah! Yes, I remember the kidnapping and programming. I thought you'd either fall in love with Supernatural or or move to Jonestown.
